Office of Administration announces JEFFTRAN bus shuttle, free rides for State of Missouri team members to end

June 14, 2019

JEFFERSON CITY – The Office of Administration announced today the bus shuttle service and free rides for State of Missouri team members offered through the Jefferson City Transit system (JEFFTRAN) will end after Friday, June 14.

State of Missouri parking lots and spaces in the Jefferson City Capitol Complex area recently have become available as flood waters continue to recede.

The Office of Administration anticipates only partial flooding into early next week for Lot 7 (U.S. Highway 63 and Broadway Street) and Lot 12 (West Main Street and Missouri Boulevard). Many parking spaces in these lots are expected to be available for team members.

Parking in St. Peter’s Catholic Church lower parking lot will remain open to state team members next week.

Parking has been limited at the Harry S Truman Building (301 W. High St.), Broadway Building (221 W. High St.), and the James C. Kirkpatrick State Information Center (600 W. Main St.) due to flooding. State of Missouri team members working in these buildings have made alternative parking arrangements since May 28.

In recent weeks, State of Missouri team members have been encouraged to be dropped off to their office buildings, carpool, and use JEFFTRAN’s existing bus routes. Many have used the temporary JEFFTRAN bus shuttle service that operated two routes, both transporting team members to the Harry S Truman Building in downtown Jefferson City.

The Office of Administration thanks state team members for their patience and JEFFTRAN for its transportation support.

State of Missouri team members will receive any necessary parking updates through email. They can also receive updates from the Office of Administration’s Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/MissouriOA/) and Twitter (https://twitter.com/MissouriOA).

Team members with questions can call The Office of Administration’s Division of Facilities Management, Design and Construction at (573) 751-3339.
