Office of Geospatial Information Receives National Recognition
The State of Missouri, Office of Geospatial Information (OGI) has received a Special Achievement in GIS award. This award is given to organizations that have used GIS to improve our world and set new precedents throughout the GIS community.
The OGI received this honor for its vision, leadership, and innovative use of ESRI's geographic information system GIS technology during the State's many natural disasters this past year.
Missouri stood out from more than 100,000 organizations worldwide. Recipients of the Special Achievement in GIS (SAG) award are submitted by ESRI staff from thousands of organizations worldwide, then personally reviewed by the president of ESRI. The SAG Award ceremony is held at the annual ESRI International Users Conference.
OGI Team Member Debbie Briedwell Named April Employee of the Month for OA/ITSD
Office of Geospatial Information (OGI) team member Debbie Briedwell was recently named the April 2012 OA/ITSD Employee of the Month for her work during the Branson tornado, and the state legislative redistricting effort.
