This course is intended for those who have a thorough understanding of structured programming techniques using languages such as C or Cobol. Students should also be comfortable using operating system file utilities and text editors.
Who Should Attend
Students with working knowledge of programming using C, Cobol, Pascal, or Visual Basic wishing to understand the Object paradigm and its implementation in the Java programming language.
Course Description
In this class the student gains understanding of the Java language environment, studies the Java language syntax, uses the Java Class construct for implementing object models, uses Java data structures, Object-Oriented design techniques, and builds GUI interfaces using the Java AWT and event handler.
