Active Labor Agreements
Information regarding active Union agreements is provided below:
Agreements Maintained by the Division of Personnel:
The American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME)
AFSCME Council 72 represents two Bargaining Units within the State of Missouri:
- The Craft & Maintenance Bargaining Unit AFSCME represents those employees classified as craft, service, maintenance and labor personnel employed by the Office of Administration, Departments of Agriculture, Health and Senior Services, Mental Health, Natural Resources, Public Safety, Revenue, and Corrections.
- The Direct Care Bargaining Unit AFSCME represents those non-licensed direct care personnel, who are employed by the Department of Mental Health and the Missouri Veterans Commission.
The current Master Labor Contract for the Craft & Maintenance and Direct Care Bargaining Units remain in effect from October 15, 2011 through December 31, 2013.
Communications Workers of America (CWA)
CWA Local 6355, AFL-CIO, represents two Bargaining Units within the State of Missouri:
- The Department of Social Services Bargaining Unit. CWA represents eligible personnel employed by the State of Missouri, Department of Social Services.
- The Department of Health and Senior Services Bargaining Unit.CWA represents eligible personnel employed by the State of Missouri, Department of Health and Senior Services, Division of Senior and Disability Services and Division of Regulatory and Licensure, Sections for Long Term Care and Child Care Regulation. The current Master Agreement between CWA, the Department of Social Services and the Department of Health and Senior Services remains in effect from December 1, 2010 until November 30, 2013.

The Missouri Corrections Officers Association (MOCOA)
MOCOA represents all eligible personnel classified as Corrections Officer I and Corrections Officer II employed by the State of Missouri, Department of Corrections. Negotiations are currently being held for a successor Labor Agreement. The current Agreement between MOCOA and the Division of Adult Institutions has been extended and remains in effect through February 29, 2012 or until a new Agreement has been finalized.
The Missouri Nurses Association (MONA)
MONA, affiliated with the United American Nurses (UAN), AFL-CIO, represents all nurses in the classifications, Registered Nurse I, II & III as well as Registered Nurses IV at Higginsville and Marshall Habilitation Centers employed by the State of Missouri, Department of Mental Health. The current Agreement between MONA and the Department of Mental Health remains in effect from July 1, 2009 until June 30, 2012.
Service Employees International Union (SEIU)
SEIU Local 1 represents three Bargaining Units within the State of Missouri
- The Department of Corrections, Division of Probation & Parole, Parole Officer Bargaining Unit SEIU represents all eligible personnel classified as Parole Officer I, Parole Officer II and Parole Officer III employed by the Missouri Department of Corrections, Division of Probation and Parole. The current Agreement between SEIU and the Division of Probation and Parole remains in effect from July 20, 2011 through July 19, 2014.
- The Department of Corrections, Division of Probation and Parole Probation and Parole Assistants Bargaining Unit SEIU represents all eligible Probation and Parole Assistants I and II employed by the Missouri Department of Corrections, Division of Probation and Parole. The current Agreement between SEIU and the Division of Probation and Parole remains in effect from October 15, 2010 until October 14, 2013.
- Patient Care Professionals Bargaining Unit SEIU represents all eligible Patient Care Professionals, as classified within the Bargaining Unit who are employed by the Departments of Mental Health, Corrections, and Missouri Veterans Commission. The current Agreement for SEIU and the Patient Care Professionals Bargaining Unit remains in effect from June 1, 2011 through December 31, 2014.
Agreements Maintained by the Department of Transportation:
Local 148 of the International Union of Operating Engineers AFL/CIO
AFL/CIO represents all eligible employees classified as Maintenance Worker, Intermediate Maintenance Worker, Senior Maintenance Worker and Maintenance Crew Leader employed by the Department of Transportation. The current Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between AFL/CIO and the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission acting by and through the Missouri Department of Transportation remains in effect from April 11, 2010 until April 10, 2013.
