Essential Functions and Responsibilities: 

ITSD –DHEWD (Department of Higher Education Workforce Development) is preparing to fill an IT I-IV / Java Developer position on our Application Development Team. The team actively utilizes the following tools and technologies: Java 8, JPA, EJB, JSF 2, Facelets, Rational Application Developer, WebSphere, IBM DB2, Report Builder, Restful Web Services, OAUTH2, AZURE, Postman, JIRA, CVS, Log4j. This position is responsible for development and support for DHE’s various applications.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

This Java Developer position must show an ability to perform the following duties which include but are not limited to: analyze, troubleshoot, test, develop, document and debug. This position should be able to translate requirements into design and develop code that adheres to current coding standards and technologies. Must have an ability to work in a team environment, creatively solve problems, and communicate clearly and effectively in writing, by phone and in person. The successful candidate must have the desire to work in a fast paced environment. The candidate must also perform related duties not listed above, as needed or assigned. Level of supervision will be determined by qualifications and level hired.
