Essential Functions and Responsibilities: 

This position will be responsible for the building and maintenance of 11 schools for severely disabled. These schools are located on the east side of the state. This position has three staff crew all stationed at different domiciles. This position’s domicile will be located in the school in one of the following counties, St. Charles, Franklin, St. Louis City, Pike or Jefferson. This will be determined by the perspective candidate. Responsibilities include; electrical, switches, outlets, relays, t-stats, motors, trouble shooting and repair. Mechanical, replacing motors, piping, ducting, controllers, assisting with boiler systems, and chiller systems. Responsible for supervision of the building envelope, structure, windows, plumbing, painting, flooring, assist the school staff with project to benefit the students. Ability to work in extreme conditions and adverse weather conditions and other duties as described. Supervise and perform daily repairs to building and systems. This position will learn and instruct on Archibus and using purchase & work orders and preventive maintenance. This position will learn and utilize Chapter 8 projects and attend all meetings throughout the projects. Work with office staff to secure Chapter 34 contracts. Use PERforM to evaluate employees. Other related work as assigned.

Works schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

An understanding of the maintenance industry, construction, OSHA safety regulations. The ability to trouble shoot & assess problems with any building system. Knowledgeable of HVAC - chillers, boilers, AHU's, heat pumps, wet dry cooling towers, condensers, split units and associated preventive maintenance. Ability to utilize MS Word, Excel, Office, building automated controls/ systems. Good communication skills, internally and with public entities and vendors, ability to utilize and learn (Archibus) management software.
