Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
This is a professional, technical position responsible for maintaining the Missouri Automated Child Support System (MACSS). Responsibilities include participating in projects involving maintenance or new enhancements to the MACSS application; performing detailed analysis, design, writing, coding, documenting and testing of changes impacting MACSS; developing program specifications and functional work flows outlining changed processes;answering Level II helpdesk calls submitted by the customer and performing data analytics against the MACSS database for Ad Hoc requests requested by the customer.
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- An employee in this position must possess the ability to review and analyze programs and files of other agencies that interface with MACSS as well as design new interfaces and identify necessary modifications to existing interface logic and files to meet the requirements for MACSS. Once the requirements have been identified, the position then works with the other agency to obtain the desired data on the interface file and prepares detailed documents outlining the required system modifications to successfully interface with the other agency.
- This position requires writing and executing database queries using TSO/SPUFI to extract production data for Ad hoc reports on behalf of requests received from field staff, CS Executive Staff and state legislators.
- Based on an on-call rotation schedule, this position is responsible for responding to production problems 24 hours per day, 7 days per week during the week on call. This requires a review of the abended batch to determine the cause and the appropriate action required to remedy the problem.
