Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
This position with OA/FMDC will be responsible for the repair or replacement of building electrical system and components to include but not limited to; install, alter, maintain and repair wiring systems, equipment, and fixtures such as switches, outlets, light fixtures, exhaust and circulation fans. Install and make electrical repairs on specialized electrical equipment such as refrigeration units, dishwashers, water heaters and ice machines. Performance of scheduled preventive maintenance, installation and repairs to maintain refrigeration and air conditioning equipment such as central air conditioning systems, circulating pumps, refrigerators water coolers, air handlers and fan coil units of a 768,244 sq ft. state office building.
Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00a.m. - 5:00p.m.
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Successful completion of apprentice program in the electrical field.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and wiring schematics.
- Proficient with methods, practices and tools associated with the electrician trade.
- Applicants should have a basic understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
