Essential Functions and Responsibilities: 

This Summer Internship will assist the Recycling Program Manager in maintaining existing programs and developing new ways to measure sustainable materials management within State Government. Develop new ‘markets’ for reuse of state property within State Government. Intern would manage operational activities such as supplies distribution and management of collection programs for items such as printer cartridges and batteries. 

Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00a.m. – 5:00p.m. Approx 28 hours per week, mid-May through mid-August.

Salary is $11.00 per hour

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

Ability to walk and lift up to 30 pounds. Passion to make a difference. A basic understanding of reduce, reuse, recycle philosophy. Ability to use Microsoft Office tools.

Important Information

At least 6 hours of college credit in business management, business communications, social sciences, logistics, and/or environmental studies experience or training.
