Essential Functions and Responsibilities: 

This position will perform a technical role in supporting the FAMIS application and its interfaces. This position performs analysis, design, coding and testing on the FAMIS application.

Specific duties vary between Developer and Business Analyst roles, but includes work in all areas of the software development life cycle including problem resolution for existing applications, requirements gathering and definition, design, development, testing, and migrating code from one environment to the next through the development, testing, and implementation phases.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

Ability to work in a team environment on multiple projects involving multiple customers and to set priorities and resources to meet target goals. Thorough knowledge of application analysis, design, development, and testing methodologies. Ability to communicate effectively. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to maintain effective working relationships, remain flexible, develop and maintain self-motivation, assume considerable initiative, and exercise sound independent judgment. 

The candidate must have knowledge and experience in the following technologies and areas: TSO, JCL, COBOL, ALL Fusion Gen/CA Gen/CoolGen Programming, batch job processing, Object Oriented Programming techniques, systems architecture and design. Position requires use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel, Access) and use of PC's, printers and MFD's.
