Non-Competitive Registration & Selection Process
Merit System agencies have two options for recruiting individuals for Non-Competitive classifications. An agency may fill vacancies by accepting applications and hiring eligible applicants directly at the job site, or the agency may hire from registers of eligible applicants maintained by the Division of Personnel. Interested applicants may apply directly to a state agency’s facility or office where they desire to obtain employment or they may submit an application to the Division of Personnel. Applicants who possess the required qualifications will be listed on the registers, and hiring agencies may select from among any of the available eligible applicants on the register.
Special Hiring Process (No Register)
The Division of Personnel does not accept applications or maintain registers for Special Hiring classifications. Information regarding the application process may be found by following the link to the appropriate classification on the right side of this screen.
