JEFFERSON CITY - State Budget Director Linda Luebbering announced today that 2015 fiscal year-to-date net general revenue collections increased 7.7 percent compared to 2014, from $6.70 billion last year to $7.22 billion this year.
Net general revenue collections for April 2015 increased by 11.9 percent compared to those for April 2014, from $1.13 billion to $1.26 billion.
GROSS COLLECTIONS BY TAX TYPE
Individual income tax collections
Increased 8.5 percent for the year, from $5.31 billion last year to $5.76 billion this year.
Increased 15.4 percent for the month.
Sales and use tax collections
Increased 2.4 percent for the year, from $1.61 billion last year to $1.65 billion this year.
Decreased 9.7 percent for the month.
Corporate income and corporate franchise tax collections
Increased 2.0 percent for the year, from $433.8 million last year to $442.5 million this year.
Decreased 8.7 percent for the month.
All other collections
Increased 7.2 percent for the year, from $317.4 million last year to $340.2 million this year.
Increased 2.8 percent for the month.
Refunds
Increased 0.85 percent for the year, from $967.7 million last year to $975.9 million this year.
Decreased 3.8 percent for the month.
Director Luebbering also noted the General Revenue Fund repaid the $400 million borrowed from the Budget Reserve Fund during fiscal year 2015, well ahead of the Constitutional deadline of May 15th.
