This is manual and clerical work receiving, storing, and distributing inventory.
Applicants must meet one of the following eligibility requirements:
(The following minimum qualifications will determine merit system eligibility and may be used to evaluate applicants for Missouri Uniform Classification and Pay System positions not requiring selection from merit registers.)
Possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency.
This description may not include all of the duties, knowledge, skills, or abilities associated with this classification.
Receives, unpacks, and stores inventory items.
Fills order requisitions, prepares items for delivery, and transports inventory items.
Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and/or other material handling equipment.
Participates in maintaining inventory of physical stock.
Maintains simple receiving and requisition records.
Keeps storage areas clean and orderly.
Exercises independence in the performance of duties under general supervision.
Performs other related work as assigned.
Introductory knowledge of storekeeping methods and procedures.
Introductory knowledge of varied inventory items including perishable goods.
Introductory knowledge of various methods used in transporting inventory items.
Ability to properly pack a variety of inventory items for shipment.
Ability to understand and follow basic directions.
Ability to maintain inventory records.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and/or other material handling equipment.
