This is manual work of an unskilled or limited semi-skilled nature requiring no previous training or experience.
Work duties are routine but as an employee in this class gains experience he may work with greater independence or take on duties which involve some limited skills. Routine work is done under general supervision, but specific and detailed instructions are given on new work.
Shovels coal from freight car or truck to conveyor.
Removes ice from freezing plant containers and cuts it into required sizes.
Watches operation of ice machinery and immediately reports any malfunction to supervisor.
Loads and unloads trash, garbage, sand, dirt, or building materials.
Removes snow and ice from walks and roads.
Performs manual work as an assistant to a maintenance, janitor, fireman or engineer.
Performs related work as assigned.
(The following minimum qualifications will determine merit system eligibility and may be used to evaluate applicants for Missouri Uniform Classification and Pay System positions not requiring selection from merit registers.)
Completion of the eighth school grade.
