Carpool Information

**BEGINNING SEPTEMBER 4, 2007, WE ARE EXCITED TO OFFER A NEW, CONVENIENT FEATURE FOR OUR VALUED CARPOOL CUSTOMERS. YOU NOW HAVE ONE CONVENIENT STOP FOR ALL YOUR TRAVEL NEEDS. WE HAVE RELOCATED THE CARPOOL VEHICLE PACKETS TO MSP CARPOOL LOT! YOU MAY PICK UP AND RETURN VEHICLES 24 HOURS A DAY, 7 DAYS A WEEK!**

Procedure for Pickup and Return of State Vehicles to the Old Missouri State Penitentiary (MSP)

Pickup

Pickup the Carpool Packets at MSP Guard Station after receiving the confirmation request for your reservation.
When entering the Carpool Parking Lot, enter the guard station to sign in and present your Electronic Trip Ticket and State ID badge. Only state employees presenting a State ID badge will be allowed access into the state vehicle parking area.
Only one personal vehicle will be allowed in the parking lot per state vehicle checked out. Please park your personal vehicle in the parking space of the state vehicle you utilize.

Return

After returning the vehicle to the appropriate parking space, record the END MILEAGE of your trip on the Electronic Trip Ticket.
Stop at the guard station to return the carpool packet Electronic Trip Ticket and all Fuel Receipts.

Family Members or Other Individuals Picking Up Personal Vehicles

If someone needs access to your personal vehicle while you are out with a state vehicle they will need to:

Go to Capitol Police in room 101 of the Truman Building to get authorization to enter the lot.
When entering MSP they will need to present the authorization from Capitol Police to the guard and sign in.

All other areas of the old MSP are off limits.
