JEFFERSON CITY – The Office of Administration (OA) announced today the Jefferson City Transit System (JEFFTRAN) bus shuttle service and free bus rides for State Missouri team members will end after Friday, June 28. OA will assess the need for alternative parking on a weekly basis.
While parking has improved, OA still encourages state team members who are able to be dropped off at their office buildings or carpool to do so.
In addition, St. Peter’s Catholic Church lower parking lot is no longer available for state team members to use. The last day for state team members to use the lot was Thursday, June 26.
Since May 28 when the Missouri River started to rise, parking has been limited at the Broadway Building (221 W. High St.), Harry S. Truman Building (301 W. High St.), and James C. Kirkpatrick State Information Center (600 W. Main St.), and has caused many state team members to find alternative parking arrangements.
During that time, OA worked with JEFFTRAN to offer a bus shuttle service and free bus rides to team members with a valid state ID. The bus shuttle service transported state team members from parking lots at the Missouri State Penitentiary and Capital Mall.
OA thanks state team members for their patience during this difficult time, JEFFTRAN for its transportation support, and St. Peter’s Catholic Church and the Capital Mall for offering additional parking.
OA will continue to monitor flooding and parking lot conditions, and will further update team members with any necessary parking updates via email. They can also receive updates from the Office of Administration’s Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/MissouriOA/) and Twitter (https://twitter.com/MissouriOA).
Team members with questions can call The Office of Administration’s Division of Facilities Management, Design and Construction at (573) 751-3339.
