JEFFERSON CITY - Acting State Budget Director Dan Haug announced today that 2016 fiscal year-to-date net general revenue collections increased 2.6 percent compared to 2015, from $4.06 billion last year to $4.17 billion this year.
Net general revenue collections for December 2015 decreased by 3.6 percent compared to those for December 2014, from $841.1 million to $810.7 million.
GROSS COLLECTIONS BY TAX TYPE
Individual income tax collections
Increased 5.8 percent for the year, from $2.88 billion last year to $3.05 billion this year.
Decreased 2.4 percent for the month.
Sales and use tax collections
Increased 3.1 percent for the year, from $1.01 billion last year to $1.04 billion this year.
Increased 4.4 percent for the month.
Corporate income and corporate franchise tax collections
Decreased 9.1 percent for the year, from $269.3 million last year to $244.9 million this year.
Decreased 14.8 percent for the month.
All other collections
Increased 4.1 percent for the year, from $176.4 million last year to $183.7 million this year.
Increased 31.8 percent for the month.
Refunds
Increased 27.6 percent for the year, from $269.5 million last year to $343.9 million this year.
Increased 48.5 percent for the month.
