Jefferson City, Mo. - State Budget Director Dan Haug announced today that net general revenue collections for November 2024 decreased 6.8 percent compared to those for November 2023, from $1.00 billion last year to $931.7 million this year.
Net general revenue collections for 2025 fiscal year-to-date declined 4.0 percent compared to November 2023, from $5.04 billion last year to $4.84 billion this year.
GROSS COLLECTIONS BY TAX TYPE
Individual income tax collections
- Decreased 6.6 percent for the year, from $3.36 billion last year to $3.14 billion this year.
- Decreased 6.2 percent for the month.
Pass Through Entity tax collections
- Increased from $0 to $136.9 million this year.
Sales and use tax collections
- Decreased 4.8 percent for the year, from $1.42 billion last year to $1.35 billion this year.
- Decreased 14.2 percent for the month.
Corporate income and corporate franchise tax collections
- Decreased 9.4 percent for the year, from $331.3 million last year to $300.2 million this year.
- Decreased 19.6 percent for the month.
All other collections
- Increased 9.4 percent for the year, from $328.4 million last year to $359.2 million this year.
- Increased 3.7 percent for the month.
Refunds
- Increased 13.2 percent for the year, from $392.6 million last year to $444.3 million this year.
- Decreased 11.8 percent for the month.
Pass-Through Entity tax collections were previously reported within Individual Income, which makes growth in Individual Income tax collections appear artificially low.
