December 9, 2014

JEFFERSON CITY – The Missouri Office of Administration today announced that the 2015 Missouri State Employee Charitable Campaign (MSECC) exceeded donations of $1 million for the 11th consecutive year. The 30th year of the campaign had a larger increase in total donations than any year since the 2010 campaign, and state employees donated more than $1,071,000.00 to 926 Missouri charities. This brings the 30-year total for the campaign to over $27 million.

“For 30 years, Missouri state employees’ extraordinary compassion for those in need has been displayed through their abundant contributions to the annual charitable campaign,” Gov. Jay Nixon said. “I am humbled by their kindness, and so proud of the impact this campaign has had on organizations across the state. To exceed the $1 million mark every year for more than a decade is a true testament to the generosity of state employees and their families.”

The MSECC is an annual fundraising effort organized by the Office of Administration that provides state employees and retirees with the opportunity to make donations to their favorite charitable organizations through the convenience of payroll deduction or one-time gifts. The State of Missouri has a history of philanthropy and a spirit of service. Since the inception of the annual campaign, state employees have donated more than $27 million to charities statewide. Donations have exceeded $1 million in 14 of the 30 years.
