Road Closures - Flooding

Effective at 12:00 p.m. today, MODOT will be closing Route 50 at Mt. Sterling and Route 89 near Rich Fountain. In addition, Route 63 at Vienna remains closed and Interstate 44 (all lanes) are now closing near Jerome (Phelps County, mile marker 172). With numerous state routes under water, there are no good detours around these closures. Motorists should take extra care in their travels during this time and never attempt to get around roadway barriers or drive across flooded roadways. Please allow extra travel time if detours are necessary.
