JEFFERSON CITY - State Budget Director Linda Luebbering announced today that 2015 fiscal year-to-date net general revenue collections increased 6.8 percent compared to 2014, from $5.57 billion last year to $5.95 billion this year.
Net general revenue collections for March 2015 increased by 25.22 percent compared to those for March 2014, from $532.6 million to $667.0 million.
GROSS COLLECTIONS BY TAX TYPE
Individual income tax collections
Increased 7.0 percent for the year, from $4.32 billion last year to $4.63 billion this year.
Increased 11.4 percent for the month.
Sales and use tax collections
Increased 3.7 percent for the year, from $1.45 billion last year to $1.51 billion this year.
Increased 7.2 percent for the month.
Corporate income and corporate franchise tax collections
Increased 4.7 percent for the year, from $346.3 million last year to $362.5 million this year.
Increased 8.2 percent for the month.
All other collections
Increased 7.7 percent for the year, from $283.0 million last year to $304.9 million this year.
Increased 60.9 percent for the month.
Refunds
Increased 1.6 percent for the year, from $834.4 million last year to $847.6 million this year.
Decreased 9.8 percent for the month.
Director Luebbering also noted the General Revenue Fund borrowed $100 million from the Budget Reserve Fund for cash flow purposes, bringing the total borrowed to $400 million for the year. The funds will be repaid before the Constitutional deadline of May 15, 2015.
