The Missouri Interagency Recycling Committee (MIRC) was born in 1994 during the Carnahan administration. It was recognized that the MSRP needed a way to communicate procurement & recycling policies throughout state government and MIRC was the answer. The committee, composed of representatives from each of the state departments (executive, judicial, and legislative), meets quarterly to discuss issues dealing with recycling collection, waste reduction, recycling market conditions and recycled product procurement.
In short, MIRC functions as the liaison between the MSRP and all other State of Missouri government agencies.
