JEFFERSON CITY, MO -- State Budget Director Linda Luebbering announced today that 2013 fiscal year-to-date net general revenue collections increased 6.6 percent compared to 2012, from $1.09 billion last year to $1.16 billion this year.
Net general revenue collections for August 2012 increased by 2.8 percent compared to those for August 2011, from $634.8 million to $652.6 million.
GROSS COLLECTIONS BY TAX TYPE
Individual income tax collections
- Decreased 1.2 percent for the year, from $773.8 million last year to $764.4 million this year.
- Increased 0.7 percent for the month.
Sales and use tax collections
- Increased 5.7 percent for the year, from $321.0 million last year to $339.4 million this year.
- Decreased 0.2 percent for the month.
Corporate income and corporate franchise tax collections
- Decreased 3.1 percent for the year, from $28.8 million last year to $27.9 million this year.
- Decreased 17.3 percent for the month.
All other collections
- Increased 52.9 percent for the year, from $72.9 million last year to $111.4 million this year.
- Increased 10.8 percent for the month.
Refunds
- Decreased 22.5 percent for the year, from $109.5 million last year to $84.8 million this year.
- Decreased 28.2 percent for the month.
Director Luebbering also noted the General Revenue Fund borrowed $100 million from the Budget Reserve Fund for cash flow purposes. The funds will be repaid before the Constitutional deadline of May 15, 2013.
