This is entry-level professional and technical work in an information technology environment.

Minimum Qualifications

One or more years of professional or technical information technology related experience with the State of Missouri.

OR

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with coursework in information technology or computer science.

(A combination of education from an accredited college or university, information technology certification, and/or related experience may substitute for the stated education.)

Job Duties

Performs assigned responsibilities and/or portion(s) of projects with limited oversight; ensures assigned tasks are completed within established guidelines.

Assists in analyzing, programming, testing, and implementing software systems.

Assists in installing and maintaining communication equipment and services.

Assists in the implementation of protection methods and assignment of users’ security accesses which defends/protects digital information and/or assets.

Assists in installing and configuring database software in an enterprise environment.

Assists in installing and maintaining information technology hardware and software.

Assists in installing and maintaining network equipment and services.

Assists in installing and maintaining servers and associated storage devices.

Assists in programming the design and functionality of a web site.

Attends training and/or receives on-the-job-training as required to successfully complete tasks associated in an assigned area.

Assists with the coordination of business requirements for projects involving information technology systems maintenance, integration/enhancements, and new application projects; assists with the delivery of quality information technology and services.

Tests software ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance with design intent; documents testing issues and reviews testing artifacts; assists with documenting testing methodologies and project coordination.

Receives close supervision; work is reviewed periodically for technical accuracy and upon completion with additional direction provided as needed.

Performs other related work as assigned.
