This is senior-level professional and technical work in an information technology environment.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must meet one of the following eligibility requirements:

Three or more years of professional or technical information technology related experience with the State of Missouri.

OR

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with coursework in information technology or computer science; and,

Two or more years of information technology related experience.

(A combination of education from an accredited college or university, information technology certification, and/or related experience may substitute for the stated qualifications.)

Job Duties

Analyzes, programs, tests, and implements software systems.

Installs and maintains communication equipment and services.

Implements and/or assists with the development of protection methods, and assigns users’ security accesses which defends/protects digital information and/or assets.

Installs and configures database software in an enterprise environment.

Installs and maintains information technology hardware and software.

Installs and maintains network equipment and services.

Installs and maintains servers and associated storage devices.

Programs the design and functionality of a web site.

Provides guidance and training assistance regarding complex and unique issues to other information technology staff.

Leads projects involving the coordination of business requirements for information technology systems maintenance, integration/enhancements, and new application projects; ensures delivery of quality information technology and services.

Utilizes business processes and data modeling to define, organize, and illustrate information technology concepts and structures; analyzing, designs, and documents testing of application modules; reviews and documents testing artifacts; assists with project management coordination and provides technical assistance and guidance as needed.

Exercises significant independence and judgment in the performance of duties; receives general administrative direction; work is reviewed upon completion.

Performs other related work as assigned.
